100% Organic Cotton handloom handwoven front with plain back pillow cover with bottom invisible zipper and tassels at four corners. We started with two handloom weavers in 1975 and in the beginning of 2020, we work with approx 61 looms engaged in Kala cotton and Mashru weaving. We try and support the livelihoods of around ninety families connected with us for their income generation throughout the year... Another artisan cluster we work with is Manipur, famous for its special fabrics like moiraingphee, leirum, lasingphee and phanek. Tribal textiles are woven on a loin-loom, a type of back-strap loom commonly used by hill people. The warp of manageable length and breadth is prepared and fastened at one end generally to the wall of a house or to two fixed poles while the other is tied to the waist of the weaver with a cotton or leather belt. Sometimes the belt is woven out of cane or bamboo.

This mission is executed through three primary approaches. Nimmit curates a unique collection for each artisan, working closely with them or their communities based on a provided brief. This ensures that their authentic artistry is showcased in a manner that resonates worldwide.
Second, Nimmit invites artisans to participate in workshops hosted at their branch in Jodhpur. These workshops serve as a platform for skill enhancement, knowledge exchange, and fostering a sense of community among the talented artisans.
Finally, Nimmit organizes exhibitions across India and other parts of the world, acting as a beacon for promoting their vision and values. Through these exhibitions Nimmit encourages engagement and appreciation for Indian arts and crafts.
